Where to Host a CPR Training Class in Philadelphia

What CPR and first aid instructors should look for in a Philadelphia class space: floor room, screens, timing, cost and what to bring.

Start with floor space, not seats

CPR skills practice happens on the floor. Each student pair needs room to kneel beside a manikin, and you need space to walk between stations. A room that seats 30 at tables may only fit 12 to 16 people comfortably for skills practice.

Look for a room where tables can be moved to one side, so you can run the video and written portions at tables and the skills portion on the open floor.

Check the screen and sound setup

Most courses include video segments. Confirm the room has a screen you can connect a laptop to and speakers loud enough for the back row. Bring your own adapter.

Book the length of your class

A typical blended skills session runs two to four hours. Hourly rentals keep the cost tied to your class length. At Studio M, weekdays between 9 AM and 6 PM are $80/hour with a 1-hour minimum, so a three-hour class is $240, paid in full when you book.

Know what the venue does not provide

Venues usually don't supply manikins, AED trainers or certification cards. Studio M is a rental venue only; your training organization issues certifications. Bring kneeling pads, wipes and your equipment.

Make arrival easy

Send students the address, parking details and start time. Studio M is at 932 E Hunting Park Ave with parking for attendees.
